4 Card Kit – Projects from our 10 Hour Crop

Firstly I’d like to say a HUGE thank you to all my stampin’ friends who helped make our Stampin’ Crop at Noranda a fantastic event! And sadly there were a few friends who couldn’t make it on the day – Dani and Katie, you will receive your card packs in your letterboxes this week, and here some images to guide you in putting them together:

Those of you who have attended my workshops this month have probably seen this card – I have been focusing on adhesive sheets (see Autumn Winter Mini) and all the different ways you can utilise them in your papercraft.  On this card I’ve added adhesive sheet to whisper white, punched it out using my cupcake punch and then dipped it in dazzling diamonds.  My colour spritzer and Melon Mambo marker is responsible for the raspberry “sprinkles” on my cupcake :)

A really simple Male Birthday Card – I’ve used Shimmer Paint and my Blender Pen to “chrome up” various parts of the motorcycle.  This stamp is also from the Autumn Winter Mini and I LOVE IT!

This hello stamp is another single or a la carte stamp from the Autumn Winter Mini – I’ve coloured direct to the stamp using three various stampin’ write markers: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry and Soft Suede.

I love this wish big sentiment from the stamp set “Word Play” – and I think it matches these colours perfectly.  Just a bright happy birthday card for girls of all ages :)

Here is a little variation on a pocket card – just a simple turn back at the front  and finished off with my Spiral Border Punch. The sponging and colour spritzing in Blushing bride finish this card off.

If you have any questions about any of these projects don’t hesitate to ask.

Thanks for stopping by…

Fantastic Fun at Christmas Stamp-a-stack

Hi Honeys,

It was a fabulous bunch of girls who attended my Christmas Stamp-a-stack on Friday Night… I’d just like to say a big thank you to Lou, Ness, Jo, Kim, Melissa and Zelda – for your enthusiasm and energy – I had a great time flitting between designs and embossing stations and the bigshot (with a little stamp cleaning in between!)

The evening started off with a little pillow box treat for each stamper – This little gift was so easy to create. I used entirely Jolly Holiday DSP and Very Vanilla Card with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler Inks.  The stamp is from the Perfect Punches set – definitley a fave of mine!  And the box? One swipe of the Big Shot with Pillow Box Die and a strip of coordinating DSP and away we go! And inside? A mini pack of maltesers!

I have shared several of the card designs with you on previous posts, so here are the two outstanding designs offered as part of the “Buffet” on Friday:

I love this little Christmas tree from Fun and Fast Notes - just another reason why this stamp set is one of the best investments you can make!  I’ve stamped the tree a second time onto watercolour paper and then cut him out and placed it on top for a cute 3D effect.  I’ve coloured with stampin pastels and blender pens.

Another of my favourite designs this year is my Marina Blue and Night of Navy card:

I’ve stamped the Christmas Tree from Contempo Christmas and really went to town trimming the tree with pearls, brads and a rhinestone star.  I love that the tree is trimmed to match the sentiment (also from Contempo Christmas) I’ve wheeled down the side of my top note with the matching Contemp Wheel.  Love non traditional Chrissie colours!

I also promised to share my Christmas candle display, created for pride of place on my lowline tv cabinet this festive season.  I’ve lined my three designs up on a beautiful Christmas Dish:

Here are a few of the finer points:

Instead of securing my hodgepodge hardware with brads, I added a rhinestone each side – bling!

See my 3D ornament bauble? I picked that up from blogland but later noticed that it is on display in the SU Catalogue too!  Created simply by punching two ornaments, folding them and placing them side by side…

Will I ever tire of this scallop flower? Sigh… I’ve used ten scallops to create this one with a fancy brad from my hodgepodge Hardware as it’s centre. Love the polkadot DSP from Jolly Holiday!

And 7 matching sized loops created this ribbon rosette – with my favourite Button from the Buttons Big Shot Die for it’s centre with a sweet linen thread bow.

Ok are you seriously Christmassed out yet?  Check back later for details about how you can score some free ribbon from Stampin Up to Dress up Your Christmas!

Bye for Now – it’s my babies 4th birthday today so I am off to play with his pressies!

Make and Take Launch Projects

Hi Girls,

Thought you might like to see the cards the girls made at my catalogue launch on Monday…

The first one has a vintage feel with my favourite new technique… Colour Spritzing!

How gorgeous is our new In Colour Concord Crush? It looks fab here with Very Vanilla, Basic Black and our Newsprint DSP.  The stamp sets I have used are “Artistic Etchings” and “Perfect Punches” for the Label sentiment.

Of course you can see a few Die shapes in there too – My faux button, the larger Tag behind the sentiment and the Topnote.  Satin Black Ribbon and linen thread jsut finish of this great vintage look which we colour spritzed with basic black just to grunge it up a little more :)

And for the second make and take – something a little sweeter using the “Friends Never Fade” stamp set:

I love the way the Vintage Wallpaper embossing peeks out from underneath my corner and button detail.  The ink colours here are Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze.

Thanks for stopping by!

Valentines and Romance is in the Air

I had a great bunch of girls over this afternoon for a Valentines inspired Stamp-a-stack… We had fun making the following projects to the soundtrack of a bit of Shaggy here, a bit of Justin Timberlake there – you get the picture!

The first project was a lollipop card – I saw this lollipop idea created with flowers on one of my blog travels but for the life of me can’t track it down – so if you are reading this sorry! But thanks for the inspiration!

The large hearts were cut using my Fiskars cutting system, and the small heart was first stamped with two step stamping from Simply Said and then punched with SU’s Full Heart Punch. I really wowed the girls with my Stamp-a-majig for this two step stamping – it really never fails to position the stamps JUST RIGHT! The lollipop stick was created with a black drinking straw.

The I LOVE YOU sentiment is from the Outlined for Fun stampset,  I really like this layout – you could easily adapt this for little girl birthday cards is fin bright colours.

The second project was  a pocket card with a slide out piece – perfect for writing a private  love note to that special person in your life!

Ruby Red cardstock, a little Raspberry Tart DSP, a heart stamp from Simply Said, and Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon creates this cute slide out pocket.

The Valentines sentiment is from the hostess set Occasions for All and the tag to help you slide out the insert card is punched using the Large Tag Punch.  Janie varied the DSP to show the gorgeous Kiwi Kiss colours and changed the sentiment up for another occasion and this looked great too!

For project number 3 we made a square patchwork card:

We started with a black base and added Ruby Red squares topped with the many patterns from the Raspberry Tart DSP.  One of the squares is folded down and secured with a brad to show the cute Kiwi Kiss colour from underneath.

The stamp used is from Fun and Fast Notes and is coloured in using Stampin’ Pastels and Blender Pens.  Vanessa actually chose the Together Forever stamp with a Wedding cake for a friend’s upcoming wedding which looked fantastic!

And finally for the 3D project – some of you may have seen it previously as I couldn’t resist entering it into the Just-Add-Ink, Just Add Hearts Challenge – but here it is again:

This Treat Basket was created using the Thank You box template from the SU demonstrator website – I added an elegant handle and the sentiment at the back of the basket to give it more substance (and to help hold in the Ferrero Rochere for my hubby)

Again it is Ruby Red Card with Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip Accents – a colour combo inspired by Kerry High at our “A Klass Act” Team Day last week.  The heart is stamped in versa marke and then embossed using gold embossing powder and a heat gun. And of course we can’t forget my favourite So Swirly Wheel!

If you would like to get your hands on this template why not drop me an email?

So there you have it – the four projects featured at my Valentines Stamp-a-stack. Thanks for dropping by, and if you are interested in coming along to one of My Easter Classes, check out the Upcoming Classes page for a sneak peek of the projects we will be making.  I have one spot left on the 7th of March and a few still available for the 14th of March.

Happy Crafting!

Fast Paced Stamping! A Klass Act Team Day

Last Saturday I had the priviledge and pleasure of attending my first Team Day with the “A Klass Act” girls and we had a fab time stamping a chatting and admiring each other’s designs for the shoebox swap…

We were each given the task to bring along a card design (themed around the Stampin’ UP! Summer Mini Catalogue) with all the elements needed to make it in a pack for each person.  The theory was that we would all move around the table making a card to each other’s designs – all 13 of them!!!

A great theory – in practice we ran out of time and rushed around like headless chooks trying to finish off the last ones! I am a little dismayed that I missed out on making quite a few! And as every single design was fantastic – that is quite a disappointment! Anywho here are the gorgeous layouts I DID manage to complete:

Lousie Layton CLICK HERE FOR LOUISE’S BLOG

Kerry High
Sue Goodwin and Tracey Wilson
Janice Klass CLICK HERE FOR JANNY’S BLOG
Narelle Newcombe
Our Team Leader – Sarah Klass CLICK HERE FOR SARAH’S BLOG
Natalie Zapantis (This is a cute mini card)
and my offering for the day!

It wasn’t until I got home and counted my cards (so to speak) that I realised I must have missed some.  I knew I had a wee package from Jaz Hicks that I will finish when I am next at Michelle’s house as she has all the tools I need for that one (will post as soon as I finish – it is a gorgeous Butterfly Prints Card), and after looking at various other blogs I think I missed an entire corner of the table.  I missed out on making a really sweet Lucky Duck card (Wagon Full of Fun) from Jenny Robinson, and a really sweet Retro card by Chantell Randall using the Hello Again Stamp sets and wheel.  Make sure you click HERE for Chantell’s card – and I will try and get a copy of Jenny’s to show you – would hate for you to miss out on these two gems the way I did!!!

Anywho – the bottom line is I had a GREAT DAY at my first team day ( So much talent) and can’t wait for the next one!

If you would like to be part of this really fun and inspiring team, why don’t you ask me about becoming a demonstrator too?
